At its worse my eyes were so dry that I had trouble opening my eyelids in the morning, they were stuck to my eyes. I have tried a large number of eye drops, which helped me with various degrees. In addition to reviewing the Refresh Tears Drops I am posting my experiences with other drops in hope someone might find it of use. Visine drops are relatively inexpensive, don't irritate my eyes, and provide fairly long relieve from dryness in my eyes. However, when I mentioned to my eye doctor that I have been using these drops every days several times a day, he told me not to use any eye drops that have the words `get the red out' in the name. He said it has extra medication to constrict blood vessels in the eye, and he said such drops should not be used for every day use.
